Gertrude Wilson was a group worker and educator. After working in group practice at YWCAs in various cities (1922-1935), she began teaching group work in the School of Social Work at the University of Pittsburgh (1938-1950). In 1951, she accepted a position as head of the Social Welfare Extension program at the University of California at Berkeley (1951-1963).
